Back at Yankee Stadium for another season of Yankees baseball! The food at the stadium gets better and better, and this year I’ve compiled a list of 30 vendors broken down into the 7 best new items, everything else that’s new, and then everything else you can eat!
MY FAVORITE OF WHAT’S NEW
Christian Petroni’s Farm to Table (Sec. 105)- Every year Christian is upping the game, last year it was the tiramisu in a helmet cup, and this year it’s Mozzarella en Carrozza, which is coated and deep fried, is oozing with a housemade mozzarella, and comes with a an 8 hour marinara to dip it into. They also have a new antipasto salad, 3 pasta plates: alla vodka, marinara, and arrabbiata, and a affogato made with Mr. Softee.
Fuku (Sec. 107, 205, 331)- David Chang’s fast casual fried chicken shop has added new Lucky Loaded Fries which tops waffles fries with fried chicken tenders coated in a sweet and spicy sauce, miso ranch, scallions, and a little jalapeno dust.
King’s Hawaiian (Sec. 115, 334)- Almost anything is going to taste good on a King’s Hawaiian roll, but this year they have two new sandwiches to enjoy. An Angry Lobster Roll which its a cold lobster roll made with a lemon aioli, togarashi, and scallions in their split top bun. And then they have Chicken Parm Sando which is a flash fried chicken cutlet on a pretzel bun with a basil marinara, and mozzarella cheese.
Lobel’s (Sec. 132)- Lobel’s has been serving New Yorkers amazing pastrami for well over 100 years, and this year they are adding it to their new Pastrami Fries. Fries get loaded up with pastrami, horseradish cream, deli mustard, and pickles.
Mini Dessert Chicken Bucket (Sec. 125, 205, 318)- No, these aren’t actually pieces of fried chicken, its ice cream, made to look like it! Its actually ice cream covered in a white chocolate, and candied corn flake layer, and has a chocolate cookie “bone” center. Kind of the perfect stadium treat, and the coating helps them from melting!
MVP Burger (Sec. 227)- To complement the 99 Burger, they have added the MVP burger which is two American wagyu patties on a super soft brioche bun with so much American cheese, caramelized onions, onion rings, a tomato bacon jam, dill pickles, and their secret sauce.
Streetbird (Sec. 112)- Marcus Samuelson’s Streetbird has two new items, The Bird Dog 2.0 is this massive hot dog topped with peppers and onions, a mustard aioli, and crispy chicken tenders. And the Sticky Que Chicken Sandwich is a crispy chicken covered in their signature spice blend, bbq, slaw, pickles, and ranch.
