I Got Diagnosed With Autism

So about a year ago I read this article in The Cut “What My Adult Autism Diagnosis Finally Explained” written by Mary H.K. Choi ( https://www.thecut.com/article/mary-hk-choi-adult-autism-diagnosis.html ) and it was striking to me how much felt familiar. Not everything, but there was alot of correlation between what she had been going through, and what I go through daily. I thought about, I brought it up in therapy, but I kind of put it in the back of my mind. But throughout the past year, little things kept popping up in media, in conversations, in therapy, that made me realize it was time to get a professional opinion. So that’s what I did, and hours of interviews later, I got the diagnosis, I had autism.
